The use of biometric facial recognition then Allows the passenger to proceed to check-in, drop off luggage, pass border control and board the aircraft, all without being asked to show a passport or boarding pass again. The biometric match at the passenger touchpoints Allows for a fast, but alsovery secure and accurate identification of the passenger Throughout the process. This benefits the immigration Authorities, the airline, the airports and last but not least; the passenger.
In order to do this, Aruba Happy Flow combines the public process or border control with the private passenger process at the airport. This is unique in the world and HAS BEEN designed to streamline the passenger process, making it fast and secure. Happy Flow makes it possible to strike Therefor The Necessary balance between security and passenger facilitation; the challenge for air travel worldwide.
The Happy Flow project Launched in May 2016 at Aruba’s Reina Beatrix International Airport. It is the product of a unique public-private partnership between airport stakeholders; Aruba’s Airport, the Government of Aruba, KLM and Schiphol Group. Vision-Box is the industry partner who joined after a tender procedure. It is this partnership between airport stakeholders that’s the foundation for this radical change in passenger facilitation.
